LYRICS: Focus on the breath and don't try to change it Behind those closed eyes there's a garden growing Mmm So pause for just one moment and see what you're growing Take in all the rain you need for the seeds we've sown them And we'll keep sowing, oh 'Cos we're waiting...for water And oh when I get it, oh when I get it I'll grow slow Oh when I get it, oh when I get it I'll grow slow I'll grow in slow motion, roots running deep to rivers that reach the oceans I'll flow in and out and in again, I'm pulled by the moon's gravitation We are, oh we are mostly water And oh when I get it, oh when I get it I'll grow slow Oh when I get it, oh when I get it I'll grow slow I'll grow in slow motion, roots running deep to rivers that reach the oceans I'll flow in and out and in again, I'm pulled by the moon's gravitation I'll grow in slow motion, roots running deep to rivers that reach the oceans I'll flow in and out and in again, I'm pulled by the moon's gravitation So focus on the breath and don't try to change it Behind those closed eyes there's a garden, waiting

LYRICS: Been wishing for the winter Though it's only just gone spring I want the rain to come back over So I can hold you again Oh bring the dark clouds I'm comfortable with them Oh see that flash of lightening It's just my angels' wings oh they're coming in Can hear the birds singing Surround sound sunrise But I'm not ready for the bright lights I'm calling the strong winds Oh hear that crack of thunder And horses galloping Oh we'll break the dry spell we've been under And send the waters running, oh Call the angels Call them in We need the stampede of horses' hooves And the gale forces of wings (Call them in) Oh I'm having flashbacks Or is it just your harsh lighting? Well it burns straight through my thin skin And sends my heart racing, oh So I call up the angels And I'll put on my best dress And I'll dance as the rain falls down to the sound of my angels' wings oh Call the angels Call them in We need the stampede of horses' hooves And the gale forces of wings And the gale forces (call them in) And the gale forces (call them in) And the gale forces of wings

Hear It 05:17
LYRICS: I have become the clouds Heaviest rainfall that I recall to come down So I'll listen out for the call Of the ravens, of the currawong's song Of the feathers to fall How soon do we forget our dreams When we wake and fall straight from our slipstreams, mmm We'll listen out for the call of the wild Of the ravens, of the currawong's song Of the feathers to fall Hear I hear, I can hear it Hear I hear, I can hear it I can hear the raven's call I can sing the currawong's song I can feel the feather's fall onto my skin Oh, oh, I can hear it, I can hear it With a cicadic rhythm And we could release these floods Spill out the silver lining onto our paint brushes, mmm And redesign these wings Oh to be bigger than they've been So we can fall back in, so we can fall back in Into our slipstreams, into our visions In listening, we hear it Into our slipstreams, into our visions In listening, we hear it I can hear the raven's call I can sing the currawong's song I can feel the feather's fall onto my skin Oh, oh, I can hear it, I can hear it I can hear it, I can hear it Here I hear, I can hear it here I hear, I can hear it
4.
LYRICS: Carry you, will carry you Carry you, will carry you If only we could pause the time, and stay lost here in this long cold night But the dark is the darkest, just before the first light hits home Oh, home, home We know that you'll soon be, finding your place in the starry sky Just as soon as the long night ends And the first rays of morning light hit home Oh, home, home Oh Overflowing spring All the wild flowers are growing Golden Acacia Will carry you To the stars We know that you'll soon be, leaving us For your place in between the The moon and the stars will be glowing Just as soon as the morning comes You'll be going home Oh Overflowing spring All the wild flowers are growing Golden Acacia Will carry you, will carry you, will carry you To the stars To the stars To the stars Will carry you home

about

Melody Moon has been collecting inspiration and samples from the natural world she inhabits on the Surf Coast of Victoria. Spending the last 2 years exploring how to merge the worlds of nature and technology into her live performances, she shares her discoveries with this diverse new EP ‘Grow in Slow Motion’.
Frog call percussion, thunder claps and looped vocals imitating birdsong, the multi-instrumentalist creatively champions a re-connection with nature while simultaneously delivering a pleasing pop sound. Melody sings in sentiments of personal growth backed by the recorded world around her, her shape-shifting sound moving from sweet folk to fiery Björk-esque vocals and beats.
She has been likened to artists such as Julia Stone and Sarah Blasko, but then she soars off into Jeff Buckley vibrato with wings flapping- river rock clap-a-long accompaniment and it’s clear: Melody Moon is creating a genre of her own.
Her song ‘Out of the City’ hit the top 10 on the Amrap AirIt Charts with the release of her first EP ‘Little Hopes’ back in 2011. Since then she has been a welcomed guest on radio shows across Australia, from ABC in Bega to Bay FM in Byron Bay to Kiss FM and Triple RRR in Melbourne. “Just wonderful” - Sophie Longden, ABC Radio South East NSW.
Now with a collection of 4 EPs and an album, ranging from folk to pop to meditation and yoga music, Melody is excited to be entwining all of her music passions into one with this new EP out on October 30th.
“I aim to bring contemplative soothing sounds and messages into powerful pop structures. I want listeners to feel connected to nature and to their own nature, while venturing on a dynamic journey that may inspire them to dance.”
